New Home for the Fish

November 20th, 2008 at 06:53 am

I have two Betta fish, each in a 2.5g tank. I've been thinking for awhile now to get a 10g tank and divide and house the two Bettas in there.

Well, I finally did it!

I bought a 10g tank today along with a filter. I'll begin cycling the next this weekend or next and I'll slowly be adding in decor and the like.

Things I need to get:
Decor (hiding spots and gravel)
Gravel vacuum
Heater

I also bought a pair of gloves for $1.00.

I'm very excited about my new tank! The first thing one of my cats did was jump in the tank and explore.

Cats are great for that! I have a cute pic of my cat in my 75 gallon turtle tank that's down for repairs. She looks stunned because she just fell in by accident. I had it covered with a sheet and she thought she could walk on it.

Congrats on the new tank! They're fun.

Our youngest cat likes to nap in our now-empty 45 gallon fish tank. We have to keep the lid on to keep her out of it. I don't want her thinking it is OK when we get new fish!

Lol! My cat looked very confused when she saw the new tank.

I need to get a full hood for the tank soon. She hasn't gone into the tank while I'm around again but she probably has while I'm not around. She's very sneaky.
