Rebuilding My Savings

May 30th, 2008 at 07:04 am

I finally did it.

I bought a car!

I am now the owner of a Dodge Stratus. It felt wonderful writing the check to dealer for the car. I have practically nothing in my savings, but I will be selling my current car and soon I will have a couple thousand sitting in the bank.

I never realized how much of a security blanket my savings was. I love the car I bought and I think I made a great deal, but I want my money!

I do not like not having so little in the bank. Hopefully I will never have so little in the bank again.

But I am back at work and tomorrow will be spent searching for scholarship money.

You saved so much money writing a check for that car instead of financing it. Good for you!

That's awesome that you could write a check for the whole amount!!!!! Congrats!

All you have to do is to continue putting in the bank monthly what your car would have cost you; of course putting the money into a an interest bearing account. You'll have money back there in no time. Congratulations.
